Privacy Policy
Bump doesn't collect your personal data. There are no accounts, no analytics, no ads and no tracking. What the app needs stays on your iPhone.
What stays on your iPhone
- The apps, categories and websites you choose to block. These are chosen through Apple's Screen Time picker and handed to Bump as anonymous tokens. Bump can't see which apps they are, and they never leave your device.
- Your schedules and focus sessions, including when they started, and how long you've focused today.
- Your Bump Lock & Key, meaning whether you use them and the IDs of the tags you've scanned.
This is stored in Bump's own storage on your iPhone, shared only with Bump's own extensions (the parts that show the block screen and run schedules). Deleting Bump deletes it.
What Bump uses, and doesn't keep
- Screen Time. Bump uses Apple's Screen Time framework to block the apps you chose. It doesn't read your app usage or screen time history.
- NFC. When you scan your Bump Lock or Key, your iPhone reads the link written on it. This happens on your device.
- Motion. The 3D model of the device tilts as you move your phone. Motion readings are used in the moment for that animation and aren't stored or sent anywhere.
This website
tapbump.com is served by Cloudflare, which processes technical details such as your IP address to deliver pages and protect against abuse. We don't use cookies or analytics on this site.
Scanning a Bump tag on a phone without the app opens a page here. The link carries the tag's ID, which is the same for every standard Lock or Key and isn't linked to you.
If you email us, we use your address and message only to reply to you.
Buying a Bump Lock & Key
The Lock & Key are sold separately. Whoever handles your order processes your details under their own privacy policy.
Children
Bump doesn't collect personal data from anyone, including children.
Changes
If this policy changes, we'll update it here and change the date at the top.
